For colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf is a critically acclaimed play by the African-American playwright, Ntozake Shange. The play was the second play written by an African American woman to ever be produced on Broadway in 1976. It articulates women`s personal stories of oppression and suffering in a sexist and racist society.
This production is a collaboration between Denmark and Kenya, produced by ACT: New Nordic Voices, it brings actresses from Denmark together with well-known Kenyan actresses in a joint performance done as a part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Sexual- and Gender-based Violence.
